Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish actress and model. She was born on November 11, 1966. After making her feature film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) are other roles. Doody was invited by a photographer, who asked her to perform the role of a model. She then developed a career of commercial modelling. Doody was determined to steer clear of glamorous and sexy roles, that was a rule she incorporated into her acting. She accepted a small role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill following the fact that she was noticed by the director of casting. Doody was named as one of 12 Promising New Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody had just turned age 18 when she was given the character as a Bond girl. She remains the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997), starring Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias In his dream in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her debut leading role. It took place in 1988 alongside Dawn French, John Hurt and Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a archaeologist from the forensic field in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She took over Cybill Shepherd in the L'Oreal spokesperson's part. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's wife and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II became available in 1994. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. The roles she played included the TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust, and the short film Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody had a minor role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of a remake in 2011 of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria tierra de film award was given to her on November 21, 2018. In addition, she was awarded an award at the Almeria Walk of Fame.
